Founded by Himanshu Kaushik and Varun Goel, Palato represents the coming together of complementary expertise, international exposure, and a common passion for fitness, quality, and innovation. Himanshu Kaushik brought years of experience from hospitality, fitness, branding, education, and consumer-driven businesses. Through his journey across lifestyle industries and interaction with diverse communities - from fitness enthusiasts to café culture and modern retail consumers - he observed a clear global shift in eating habits. Consumers were looking for snacks that delivered taste, premium quality, and convenience while fitting into healthier and more active lifestyles. Varun Goel brought deep expertise from the world of agro commodities, sourcing, and production. With extensive experience in agricultural supply chains, raw material procurement, quality standards, and production systems, he understood the importance of sourcing excellence and operational consistency in building a sustainable food brand. His strong connection with agricultural ecosystems and ingredient sourcing became a crucial pillar in Palato's foundation. What further strengthened their partnership was a shared mindset. Both founders are passionate about fitness and wellness, and both have traveled extensively across international markets. Their global exposure allowed them to closely observe evolving food trends, premium retail environments, modern packaging standards, and changing consumer expectations around the world. During their travels, they noticed a major opportunity: While global consumers were actively seeking better and more premium snacking options, traditional Indian ingredients like makhana and millets remained largely underrepresented in the international snack industry. This realization sparked a powerful idea.
